Night Vision Class, Dinner & Walk

Saturday, September 14, 2024
2:30pm - 10:00pm
Far south Austin residence and trail

Learn how to use your night vision in this afternoon indoor class and evening outdoor guided NightWalk, just outside Austin, Texas.

In addition to helping you see at night without artificial light, NightWalking and night vision are physiologically linked to flow states, unforced productivity, the opposite of anxiety, lessened mind chatter, and improved pattern recognition.

Your Guide:
Katie Raver learned NightWalking in 2008 and began voraciously NightWalking, logging over 1,000 hours in her first year. Eventually she learned how to guide others from NightWalking creator and author Nelson Zink. She has guided groups in Texas, New Mexico, Austria, Switzerland, and England.

Our schedule:
2:30pm - arrive, register, get settled, say hello
3pm-6pm - class starts promptly at 3pm. This is an indoor class to guide you through the basic eye/brain exercises of Night Vision, hear a few stories about the history of NightWalking, learn a bit about the eye, and give you a chance to try it all out.
6pm - dinner break
7:30pm - meet at the nearby trail head to watch the sunset, let our eyes adjust, and embark on a walk without artificial light
9:30-10pm - latest time to be back at trail head (varies a little)
